We are located in Lochmara Bay on the tranquil shores of the Queen Charlotte Sound in the stunning Marlborough Sounds.
There are no roads to Lochmara Lodge. If coming just for the day, please go to our day trip page.
We are reached by water from Picton in our fast water taxi located on the town wharfs on the corner of London Quay and Wellington Street. Lochmara has a booking office on the waterfront and our jetty is directly in front of this building. There is a car park at the waters end of Wellington Street. From here it's only a minutes walk to the Lochmara water taxi.
You can also kayak in, arrive via helicopter, or off the Queen Charlotte Track for walkers and mountain-bikers. We are also accessible by helicopter.
If arriving by methods other than our water taxi, please let us know when you make your reservation and we can give you appropriate instructions on how to reach us.
Water taxi departure times:

Do not rely on GPS to locate Lochmara as some services can provide misleading directions.
