✓ Lochmara is a small accommodation provider of only 14 rooms. Our cancellation policy reflects our size and the impact cancellations have on our business when they are last minute.

✓ In the case of extreme weather conditions and we need to alter your water transfer times, Lochmara will contact you to discuss your options.

✓ If Lochmara cancels a departure due to bad weather, a full refund will be given, or the option to re-book your trip to another date.

✓ We do not provide refunds for unfavourable weather (i.e. rain/wind) when our boat is still operational.

✓ We recommend all guests prepare for unfavourable weather with appropriate footwear, spare warm clothing, and rain protection to ensure you can still enjoy all that Lochmara has to offer.

Luggage Transfers

✓ All guest luggage that Lochmara transfers is done so with care. However, to help us help you, all
luggage no matter how big or small should be packed well enough to withstand the usual circumstances and effects of water transport.

✓ We do not take responsibility or provide compensation for items damaged during transport and
suggest you have your own travel insurance.

✓ Your luggage may pass through many hands during transfer, from our office, boat, portage, and
accommodation staff. Therefore, we recommend all items are in luggage that securely closes. The
biggest risk to your luggage if not securely closed is our Weka’s! They love a good treasure and if you
don’t know what a Weka is, you will on arrival to Lochmara.

✓ There is a strict luggage weight limit of 23kg per item transported. Lochmara staff reserve the right to decline to handle the luggage on your behalf if the weight is excessive and puts their health at risk of lifting it.

✓ We recommend that all personal and valuable items are carried with you.

✓ Walking poles must be within your luggage or carried on your person to mitigate damage to other
bags.
